Floriculture in New York State

According to the USDA, National Agricultural Statistics Service, Floriculture 2010 Report:
(Report only includes operations with $10,000+ in sales and excludes production of nursery products.)
  • New York Floriculture production ranked 7th in the nation for the total commercial sales in 2010 with $183 million.
  • In 2010, there were 657 growers. (This number does not include all the retail operations.)
  • In 2010, the total covered area of floriculture crop production in NYS was 22.5 million square feet and the total open ground production space was 903 acres
